This summer, our travelers hit the road to seven very different destinations, from rugged coastlines and sun-drenched villages to majestic Alpine passes. Plenty of inspiration for your next road trip.
Seven favorites, seven atmospheres
Brittany and its rugged coastline captivated lovers of the great outdoors and Breton galettes, while the Basque Coast attracted surfers and those who appreciate colorful villages. Further south, Spain and Portugal offered flamenco, tapas, Algarve beaches, and the gentle Atlantic climate.
On the mountain side, Switzerland lived up to its promise of crystal-clear lakes and breathtaking panoramas, before some travelers continued on to Italy , between Tuscany and Amalfi, or to Croatia and its Dalmatian coast with turquoise waters.
